The new digital services on the “Baity” platform aim to facilitate the process of accessing financing options

Mr. Abdullah Taleb, Director General of the Housing Bank, confirmed that the new digital services introduced on the “Baity” real estate platform aim to facilitate procedures for citizens seeking to benefit from one of the housing finance program options, by converting procedural transactions to benefit from housing finance to provide housing into digital services. He pointed out that this comes within the framework of joint efforts with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to implement the objectives of the government program 2023-2026, regarding supporting projects to digitize government services and transactions and make them fully electronic.

The Director General of the Housing Bank pointed out that the most prominent new features included in the “Baity” real estate platform is the “digital tracking” feature, which enables the citizen to follow the status of his application submitted to benefit from one of the housing finance program options from the application stage until the allocation stage and receiving the service, through an integrated electronic system that provides updated information about the path of the application and the entity responsible for each stage, which contributes to speeding up procedures and enhancing the efficiency and quality of services provided to beneficiaries.

He also explained that the second feature is enabling the citizen to reserve his residential property electronically through the platform, in addition to obtaining a financing offer from several banks that finance through the platform. This allows the citizen to benefit from housing finance directly from the banks participating in housing finance programs, as the banks review the citizen’s data and present their financing offers digitally through the application, so that the citizen can view them, compare them and choose the most suitable offer. Thus, this feature allows the financing bank the opportunity to complete the citizen’s procedures in the fastest and easiest way possible.

Abdullah Talib added that the third feature is the “digital real estate appraisal” feature, which is a service that the application is unique in launching for the first time in the countries of the region. This service will be available to beneficiaries of “Tasheel” options, for beneficiaries of financing through the Housing Bank. This service allows the citizen to request the digital real estate appraisal service, pay the appraisal fees, and receive the appraisal report electronically, as the application has been directly linked with a number of accredited appraisal offices in the Kingdom, which contributes to facilitating procedures and raising the efficiency of services provided to citizens.

Talib emphasized that the Housing Bank is constantly keen to keep pace with digital transformation efforts in the social housing sector, which contributes to accelerating the pace of procedures for benefiting from housing finance program options, and working to reduce and facilitate them, with the aim of saving time and effort for citizens. He pointed out the bank’s keenness to cooperate with all relevant private sector entities to enhance the services of the “My Home” application, which, in turn, showed great responsiveness. He noted that the new features available through the application constitute a qualitative leap in the path of digital housing services that we provide in the Kingdom.

It is worth noting that the “Baity” application showed progress and widespread participation from users, following the Innovation Conference and Exhibition in the Social Housing Sector organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank from April to September 2025. During this period, the application achieved growth in the number of its users from 30,511 in April to 40,657 in September, representing an increase of 33%.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank call on all citizens to take advantage of the digital services provided by the “Baity 2.0” application, and to benefit from the new features and innovative digital services, which embody the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leadership in the field of modern housing solutions, and consolidate its position in developing innovative models that support the national digital transformation journey.
