As part of ongoing government efforts to enhance service quality and re-engineer processes, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau has launched the second version of the “Taqad” service. The updated version introduces a new feature that allows users to view property prices, aiming to enhance transparency and provide reliable information to support decision-making in the real estate sector.

Through this service, beneficiaries can access the average property prices within the block where a property is located by entering either the block number or the property number. The service displays price indicators for the past three years, based on accurate and reliable data. This enables users to track real estate market trends and estimate the true value of properties based on actual transactions of similar properties within the same area.

In this context, H.E. Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, stated that this new feature adds significant value to the service outputs. He explained that it relies on real estate transaction data that is automatically updated, noting that the displayed indicators are for guidance purposes and reflect market activity during specific time periods.

He further noted that the service provides price indicators for various types of properties, including land plots, apartments, houses, and others. This offers beneficiaries a comprehensive analytical view that helps them better understand the dynamics of the real estate sector and make informed decisions based on reliable data.

Al Hamer also highlighted that the “Taqad” service has witnessed increasing demand among users, due to its ability to instantly verify a property’s status and confirm that it is free from any restrictions that may prevent its disposal. He pointed out that the number of users since the service was launched in February last year until the end of January 2026 has exceeded 30,000 users.

He added that the “Taqad” service achieved a significant milestone by winning first place in the Bahrain Digital Content Award 2025 under the Smart Settlements and Urban Expansion category in July 2025. This reflects the quality of the service and its positive impact on advancing digital services. He noted that launching the second version aligns with the adoption of innovative digital solutions aimed at expanding the scope of data available to beneficiaries, improving accessibility to real estate information, enhancing procedural efficiency, and increasing transparency in the real estate market.

He also noted that development efforts are ongoing, reflecting the Bureau’s commitment to keeping pace with the government’s direction toward improving the efficiency and quality of all public services, facilitating procedures, and ensuring the smooth delivery of services. This comes within the framework of the Government Program 2023–2026 and in alignment with the Government Performance and Digital Transformation pillar.

As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with around 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors, This is based on proposals and feedback received regarding government services through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints “Tawasul,” investor feedback, and secret shopper reports evaluating government services, as well as the launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements, These efforts contribute to improving procedural efficiency, enhancing service quality, strengthening beneficiary experience, and supporting the government’s digital transformation journey.
