As Part of Government Efforts to Enhance Service Quality and Re-engineer Processes..

As part of the government’s efforts to develop and re-engineer the quality of services, the Urban Planning and Development Authority has developed a property subdivision service. The service includes the main subdivision of properties, which involves studying the subdivision of a property or group of properties with the creation of streets in coordination with the relevant authorities in line with the regulatory requirements for construction and the executive regulations for land subdivision, in addition to the partial subdivision of properties, which involves studying the subdivision of a property or group of properties without the creation of streets and in coordination with the relevant authorities in line with the regulatory requirements for construction and the executive regulations for land subdivision.
Under the improved service, property division requests were classified into categories according to the status of the request, where the completion time for major division requests was reduced from 42-133 working days to 31-66 working days according to the status of the request, and the completion time for partial division requests for more than 5 plots was reduced from 42-102 working days to 20-35 working days according to the status of the request, while the completion time for partial division requests for 5 plots or less was reduced from 15-98 working days to 5-33 working days according to the status of the request, in addition to reducing the number of approvals required in some categories, and reducing the number of documents required for the property division service.
Eng. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayat, Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Planning and Development Authority, said that the enhanced service comes as part of the Authority’s adoption of innovative digital solutions that enhance procedural efficiency, accelerate transaction processing, and reduce requirements, thereby improving the beneficiary experience and the quality of services provided.
Al Khayat added that the enhancement of the service reflects the Urban Planning and Development Authority’s commitment to continuously developing its services in ways that save institutions time and effort and enhance the effectiveness of the work system.
It is worth mentioning that, within the framework of the government’s ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published, 800 of which have undergone development and re-engineering processes in various government sectors, based on suggestions and observations received regarding government services through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints “Tawasul”, investor feedback, and mystery shopper reports for evaluating government services, as well as the launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements, which contribute to raising the efficiency of procedures, improving the quality of services provided, enhancing the beneficiaries’ experience, and supporting the government’s digital transformation path.
