The Survey and Land Registration Authority launches the electronic property ownership document issuance service

As part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve and re-engineer the quality of services, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau launched the electronic ownership document issuance service, a new digital service aimed at facilitating access to the document, enhancing the beneficiaries’ experience, and supporting the comprehensive digital transformation process.

Under this service, after completing the real estate registration procedures and paying the legally prescribed fees, the client receives a secure electronic link that is sent to him immediately via text message, which allows him to easily view and download the ownership document in electronic format.

This service also enables access to the document at any time and from any place, without the need for personal attendance or review by the competent authority. This process used to take one working day, and has now become an automatic and immediate procedure, which contributes to saving time and effort, and enhancing the efficiency of the services provided.

The electronic document is distinguished by being officially approved and protected by digital security means that ensure the safety of the data, which allows its use and reliance by governmental and private entities with complete confidence, and enhances the efficiency of procedures and the smoothness of real estate transactions.

In this context, His Excellency Engineer Basim bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, Head of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, affirmed that this service comes within the framework of the Bureau’s adoption of innovative digital solutions that enhance the facilitation of real estate transactions and accelerate property ownership in the Kingdom of Bahrain through an integrated digital path that ensures the reliability and security of procedures and the integration of systems. He added that the launch of the service reflects the Survey and Land Registration Bureau’s efforts to develop its services in a way that reduces time and effort for institutions and enhances the effectiveness of the work system.

He explained that the launch of this service is part of a 100% complete electronic transformation, along with improving and developing the systems in place, which contributes to accelerating procedures and raising performance efficiency, as well as unifying information on services published across all service delivery channels, which ensures clarity of procedures, accuracy of data, improved user experience, and increased integration of digital services.

It is worth mentioning that, within the framework of the government’s ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated and published. Of these, 800 services have undergone development and re-engineering processes in various government sectors, based on suggestions and observations received regarding government services through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints “Tawasul”, investor feedback, and mystery shopper reports for evaluating government services, as well as the launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements, which contribute to raising the efficiency of procedures, improving the quality of services provided, enhancing the beneficiaries’ experience, and supporting the government’s digital transformation path.
